Your alarm settings are kept in your browser's local storage, not in cookies, and never reach us. The cookies that do exist here are almost entirely about advertising, and you can turn those off.
What cookies are

Strictly necessary
Our host, Cloudflare, may set cookies required for security and to deliver pages correctly. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
Preferences — stored on your device, not cookies
Your theme choice, alarm time, label, sound and recent alarms are kept in your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Clearing your site data removes it.
Advertising
Google AdSense and its partners set cookies to select adverts, limit how often you see the same one, and measure performance. Where personalised advertising is enabled, these may build a profile of your interests across websites.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful and where the site is failing people. This is aggregate and not used to identify individuals.
How to control cookies
Consent notice. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you are shown a consent notice before non-essential cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time.
Advertising controls. Turn off personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of multiple vendors at aboutads.info, NAI or Your Online Choices.
Browser controls. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under Settings then Privacy. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of this or other sites working.
Clearing local storage. Clearing site data for https://bestalarmclock.com in your browser removes your saved alarm and preferences.
What happens if you refuse
The tools work either way. Refusing advertising cookies means you see non-personalised adverts rather than no adverts — advertising is what pays for the site. Clearing local storage means your alarm settings and theme reset to defaults.
Changes
We update this policy when our providers or the law change. The date at the top reflects the current version. Our privacy policy covers the wider picture of how data is handled.
